The Senior Metallurgist will be responsible for:

Monitoring, analysing, and reporting plant performance to ensure operational efficiency and optimal process reliability.

Identifying process improvement opportunities and providing technical recommendations to support continuous optimisation initiatives

Delivering technical and operational guidance to improve metallurgical performance and operational effectiveness.Supervising plant metallurgists and overseeing laboratory test work to ensure accurate, reliable, and effective metallurgical evaluation processes.

Supporting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with operational and environmental standards.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proven operational experience in Carbon in Leach (CIL) and Semi-Autogenous Grinding (SAG) milling processes.

Minimum five years of professional experience in metallurgical roles within gold processing operations.

Possession of a valid driver’s licence; Personal Occupational Proficiency (POP) certification will be considered an advantage.

Strong technical understanding of metallurgical processes, processing technologies, tools, equipment, and raw materials.

Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety hazards associated with mineral processing operations.

Ability to interpret and effectively execute written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Strong adaptability, teamwork capability, and commitment to continuous professional development.
